Day 4 – Monday – August 18th

Trini was rubbing her slightly sore body against her mate with all the strength she had left.  It wasn't much.  They'd been mating for hours, and were only now heading back to the hotel because of the sun.  "More…"  Trini whimpered as her body ached for her lover's touch.  "I need."

"Trini."  Demona pulled Trini more tightly and bit her again.  The old bites had healed.  All the cuts, and bruises were healing quickly on both of them, their immortality making this mating less painful than it really could be.

"More…"  Trini moaned out as she started to thrust her hips into Demona's.

"Sun."  Demona explained softly as they glided into sight of the hotel.  She wasn't really able to say more than a word or two either.  Trini growled out her frustration at having to go inside.

They landed on the balcony and Trini clung to her lover with her legs, which ached from the excessive use they'd gone through.  "Now… I need…"  Trini growled and leaned forward to bite her lover.  The scream surprised her.  She pulled back and released Demona, stumbling away from her lover in guilt.  Her eyes wide as she thought she'd seriously hurt her mate.  The changing color of Demona's skin sunk into Trini's panicked mind to let her know it wasn't her fault Demona screamed.  Somehow it looked more painful than normal this time.

Domi took a few deep breaths and was holding her hand out to steady herself on the wall.  Trini's burning eyes didn't move off of the weakened looking woman, and she finally noticed the bite marks, scratches… "I hurt you."  Trini felt tears fill her eyes.  That pulled her out of her lust filled haze.

"No, you just wore me out."  Domi gave Trini a weak smile.  "Let's go inside."

Trini just nodded and did that, while keeping her mate in her sight, to make sure she was okay.  She didn't even register her own small injuries.

Fox must have been sleeping on the couch, and she sat up to watch them enter.  Trini noticed her lover noting every injury on both of them.  That was when she realized she was sore.  Domi moved to sit in the chair and Trini, strode hesitantly towards Fox.

"Trini…"  Fox's sultry voice started Trini's lust up again.  Trini moved closer and could smell Fox's arousal was thick in the air.  She also noticed the scent of her own pheromones were still strong.

"Oh, Fox…"  Trini's face took on an expression of regret as she realized what had happened.  Her Fey mate had been in this room, affected by the pheromones, and completely alone.  She moved to sit beside her lover quickly and Fox moved with a warriors grace to straddle her and leaned down to kiss her wantonly.

Trini found herself arching into the kisses.  It took a strength of will she didn't think she possessed to pull back.  "I'm dangerous."  She whimpered as she felt the aching need almost as strongly as what she felt at night.  Fox didn't heal like Demona.

Fox's eyes took on a warrior's steel.  "So am I."  The magic started to swirl and Trini screamed.

Trini heard the hiss of pain before she registered what she'd done.  She'd bitten Fox.  She pulled back to stare at Fox with apologetic eyes, but Fox didn't seem upset at all.  Fox just smirked at her.  "It'll heal."  Fox then leaned down and kissed Trini as if she were trying to make her submit with just her kisses.  She dominated Trini completely and Trini surrendered eagerly.

Domi got up and left.  Trini didn't even notice, since Fox was rubbing against her seductively.  Fox stared unblinkingly at Domi when the gargoyle in human form stopped at the bathroom door and stared back.  She stepped into the bathroom and shortly after the shower started.

Trini's face flushed with embarrassment when she came out of Fox's bedroom hours later to head for the bathroom.  Domi was sitting in the living room drinking coffee and reading the newspaper in loose shorts and a t-shirt.  She was dressed for sleep.  Trini hoped that she had slept, but remembering the volume of the lovemaking, Trini doubted it.

She slid into the shower and let the hot water beat on her sore muscles.  After a moment she nibbled on her lower lip and slid her hand over her tender but still hungry sex.  Fox had lasted a long time, but Trini was finding she was unquenchable.  Finally she had just pretended to be sated so that her mate could rest.  It was so clear that Fox was tired, and the fact that it took next to no time for the redhead to fall asleep proved Trini right.  She whimpered with her need as her own fingers started to pleasure her.  The frustration was maddening as it fueled her desire, but it just wasn't enough.

"Trini?"  Domi's voice froze Trini's hand and she opened her eyes to see her gargoyle mate staring at her, with no hint of embarrassment for having obviously caught Trini in the middle of something.  Trini stared at Domi standing at the shower door for a moment before her skin flushed red with embarrassment and she looked away.

"No, Trini," Domi's voice was gentle, "Look at me."  Trini barely lifted her head up enough to do that.  It was embarrassing that she had no control, that she needed so much.  Domi reached in a hand and took Trini's, pulling gently.  Trini took the hint that Domi wanted her out of the shower.  "You're still in season.  Normally it's the stone sleep that ends it, but you aren't turning to stone again."

"The Weird Sisters were the ones that turned me to stone."  Trini spoke shyly, but she couldn't take her eyes off of her lover's lips.  She stepped closer to Domi and pushed her against the bathroom wall.  Her head tilted just a little as she leaned closer to those lips she ached to kiss.  When no real resistance was issued she did.  It started out tender, but quickly escalated to an attempt to consume Domi.  Trini whimpered out her need.

"Let's go to my bedroom.  I don't want Fox walking in on us."  Domi's eyes were intense as she started to back out of the bathroom with Trini in tow.

"too bad."  Trini whispered to herself, not really thinking clearly enough to edit her thoughts before they came out of her mouth.  She didn't notice the sharp studying gaze aimed her way, because she was so focused on the red lips that she ached to kiss again.

Domi straddled Trini as soon as Trini laid down on her bed, and stared down at her.  Trini squirmed in pleasure at being the center of Domi's attention.  "I need…"  Trini moaned softly, with a silent pleading in her eyes.

"Fox tired out too soon for you?"  Domi's teasing seemed a little cruel.  Trini didn’t want Domi thinking poorly of Fox's prowess as a lover.

"She has barely slept in a days."  Trini protested.  Her eyes were burning brightly in her need, and her voice became more seductive without even thinking about it.  "But she is a very good lover."

"I'm glad to hear you think so."  A teasing voice from the doorway startled the women on the bed.  Trini turned to see Fox wearing her green silk robe, which barely came to mid thigh.  She was leaning seductively against Domi's bedroom doorway.  Fox licked her lips and seemed to be staring at Domi with open hunger.  Trini whimpered in arousal.  There was no way that Domi could misinterpret that.  Fox spoke with a deeper, more lustfilled voice.  "Can I watch?"

"Oh God…"  Trini arched up underneath Domi and moaned loudly.

"Making love isn't a spectator sport."  Domi seemed a little upset with Fox's presence, but Trini could tell from her focus on Fox that this was something her lover's needed to work out.  Trini fought to keep her naked body still, especially when she could feel Fox's eyes caressing her.

"Well, it was worth a shot."  Fox smiled mischievously, and Trini pushed out her magic to try and feel if Fox's feelings had been hurt.  It didn't seem that they had.  Fox was playing, teasing.  She probably didn't expect Domi to agree.

Fox closed the bedroom door for them and left them alone.  It took a little while of escalating kisses to build up Domi's passion enough to resume what they'd been doing.

Trini fell back onto the bed with a satisfied groan.  Finally… finally it was enough.  Her heart was pounding wildly in the aftermath of her orgasm.  Domi crawled up the bed and stared down at her.

"I love you."  Trini whispered out, in awe of her lover's stamina.  Demona had gone all night and then this.  She was also amazed at the intense urges that had plagued her for… Trini glanced over at the clock.  A day.  It was almost lunch time.  She'd been in heat for an entire day.

Trini felt exhausted, but still enjoyed the cuddling her mate was doing as she curled up beside Trini.  "Feeling better now?"  Domi grinned teasingly.  This last bought of lovemaking was focused entirely on Trini.  Domi made her scream and even cry at times with her need.

After a nap that was so brief as to be merely a torturous tease, they left Domi's bedroom dressed and ready to go get a late lunch before checking out.  Fox smirked at Trini's obvious exhaustion.  She'd managed to go back to sleep for a few hours while Domi and Trini made love and looked far more ready to face the day than Trini.

The café was just a block away and they were seated quickly outside on the sidewalk.  The sun felt good on Trini's skin and she just smiled lazily.

When the waitress came to the table she spoke in French and Trini was given a menu that she couldn't read.  "Domi?"  She interrupted the redhead's study of the menu.  "Can you order for me?"

"They have English versions."  Domi glanced at her and then Fox.

While Domi studied the menu Trini noticed that Fox was able to read hers.  "You speak French too?"

Fox smirked at her, "Oui assez bien"

They left the café after a nice lunch full of small talk.  They had more serious things to talk about, but Trini was glad to not be able to for just a little while.  For that time they were normal people not having to worry about the clan, the immortal king, or their crimes.  Trini was determined to enjoy that peace while it lasted.  She wished they could stay in Paris longer, but since it was a completely unplanned trip she understood that both lovers needed to go home.  Trini felt a wave of panic at the thought of facing the clan or going back to the castle.  She pushed those emotions away forcefully and smiled at Fox when she slipped into a souvenir shop right next to their hotel.

"You seem to be tired."  Domi spoke teasingly as they waited for Fox to come back out of the small shop.

Trini grinned just a little.  "I have no idea why that would be."

"The plane trip is long.  You can catch up on sleep on the way back."  Domi straightened up a little and Trini looked back at the store that Domi was facing.  Fox came out with a bag in hand.

"Something for Alexander."  Fox explained easily and they went to get their bags and check out.  "I promised him."

Trini fell asleep quickly once the private plane took off.  Her body felt a little sore when she woke up again hours later, due to the not quite comfortable position she'd slept in, but she didn't move immediately.  Fox had moved from her side across the aisle to sit beside Domi and they were talking.  The air of seriousness around them worried Trini.

Apparently she wasn't fooling anyone, because Domi's voice grew a little louder.  "I was wondering if you were going to sleep the entire way home."  Fox leaned back from Domi and apparently whatever they had been discussing was shelved.  Her lovers were keeping it from her.  Trini frowned at that, not liking the implications.  The warriors were keeping her safe, sheltered, and treating her like she was fragile.  She would have complained immediately, but the co-pilot chose that moment to wander back towards the bathroom.  Trini just sighed at the lost opportunity.  This plane wasn't private enough to question her mates.  She'd have to wait.

Trini read a magazine after they had dinner on the flight.  Domi was looking through yet another newspaper.  For a female that hated humans, she read about the current world problems endlessly.

"Shit."  Domi's swearing took Trini by surprise and she looked up to see her lover reading intensely.  Trini could tell by the other side of the paper that it was in French.  She wasn't going to be able to read whatever it was that upset her mate.

She waited until the NightStone CEO's eyes weren't moving rapidly over the page.  "What is it?"

Domi glanced around and Trini moved to the aisle seat, closer to where Domi was sitting.  Fox had stepped up to the cockpit to speak with the pilots.  "Our mating flight made the newspapers."  She lowered the paper as if Trini would understand it, so Trini glanced at the story headline "L'apparition de la diablesse bleue a de nouveau été remarquée dans Paris"  She raised her eyebrow.  She understood the word blue and Paris.  Not really enough.

Domi must have remembered her limitations because she started to explain.  "Paris was my home for a long time.  It says I've been spotted here again.  That isn't that bad, but eyewitnesses noticed I wasn't alone.  Thankfully they have no pictures, but Trini…"  Domi was staring at her, "They talked about a female with glowing red eyes, and the details of our chase would make it clear to anyone that knows gargoyles what we were doing."

Trini took a deep breath.  She wasn't going to panic.  Her voice sounded amazingly calm.  "What is this going to cost us?"

"The clan monitors the papers for hints of other clans, they will read about this."  Domi started to fold the paper up.  "We aren't going to be able to keep our relationship a secret much longer."

Trini stared at the upholstery of the seat as she felt a wave of confusing emotions.  She was scared of the clans reaction to the news, but she also felt… relief.  She felt guilty for being relieved that they weren't going to be able to hide this much longer.

It was just two hours before sunset when Trini and Fox got back to the castle.  Trini would have preferred to go with Domi tonight so that she could put off her problems with the clan, but she'd been absent from the castle for days.  That would look suspicious enough.  Trini also wanted to talk with Delilah, to try and apologize for the lies.  Trini had almost lost that opportunity completely.  If the poisoning had been more serious she could have died, leaving Delilah thinking that Trini didn't trust her, or worse yet, didn't really care about her.

The elevator opened and David was right there.  Fox fell into his comforting hug while he smiled at Trini.  "I'm glad to see that you are well."  Trini nodded quietly.  The rash had been healed by her stone sleep.  There were no physical reminders of her captivity.  "He's been… contained."

"Thanks."  Trini felt she should thank him for imprisoning the immortal male, but she felt a wave of guilt at MacBeth's treatment.  She wished there was a way to just heal his depression so that he didn't want to die.  Better yet, she wished there was a way to leave Demona immortal, without his having to remain so.  She sighed heavily and ignored his speculative look as she started towards her rooms.  That spell was unchangeable.  It was better to just give up those hopes and dreams.  He would always be the enemy, because of what the Weird Sisters did.

David's voice was more serious.  "Trini, I am glad you are back."

"Thanks."  She turned to say that to his face, but she couldn't help but think that he must be glad to have his pet immortal home.  It hurt that she'd doubt his sincerity in every kind comment for a while.  She visibly straightened up her posture.  "I want to shower, but after,"  Her eyes stared into his.  "I need to know what's been going on.  I need to know how bad it is.  Can we meet in maybe forty-five minutes?"

He obviously knew exactly what she was thinking of.  Fox pulled away from his embrace looking more serious and nodded.  David's voice was all business.  "We can meet in my office."

Trini put on a pair of khaki pants and a dark blue shirt after her shower.  As she was showering she noticed her ducts weren't swollen anymore.  Her pheromones were gone.  That was at least some good news.  She let herself feel relief about it while she dried her hair.

David's office door was wide opened when she got there.  Owen, Fox and David were already talking.  That stopped as soon as Trini walked inside.  Fox wasn't looking very happy.

The surveillance room was dimly lit so that the monitors wouldn't have a glare on them.  Trini and Owen had slipped in there when she'd heard one of the clan walking down the hall towards her.  She didn't want one of the others to find her first.  They would tell Goliath she was home and she wouldn't get a chance to talk to Delilah alone.

She sighed as she studied the monitors, watching Delilah, Lex, Angela and Goliath in the library.  Broadway was still in the kitchen cooking, and Trini didn't doubt that if she attempted to get back to her rooms, she would be spotted by Bronx, who was begging by Broadway's feet.  It was strange that the entire clan was staying home tonight, strange and very inconvenient.

The talk in David's office had gone too long, and sunset had fallen before she left, but David had a lot to report.  Elisa and Goliath had been talking quietly between themselves a lot since Trini disappeared.  David had a tape of one of the conversations, and the tension in the air was easy to see, even if you couldn't tell what they were saying.

They hadn't made any calls to the Oregon clan from the castle, but David suspected those calls had been made.  Trini could see how he could think that, with the tension in the air around Elisa.  The rest of the clan seemed to still be in the dark though, or Delilah was at least, because she didn't look as pained as Trini imagined she would be when she realized how much Trini had lied.

"You can go."  Trini didn't want Owen trapped in here with her.  She was also busy studying the monitor with the clan.  She'd never seen them so relaxed.  She was obviously not the subject of conversation now.  Is that how they looked when she wasn't around?  Goliath was smiling at his daughter while they appeared to be discussing a book.  She could easily see his pride in Angela in the way he smiled, and the way he listened to her opinion.

The Goliath in her dream realm seemed more like that.  Trini sighed as she watched him pull another book off the library shelf to show Angela.  The touching father/daughter scene made Trini cringe.  Normally she'd just dismiss why she felt like that, but her eyes were riveted to those two.  Her mother never did that with her.  Angela had two parents that loved her very much, and Trini couldn't help but feel envious.

"God, that's petty of me."  She murmured quietly to herself after she identified that emotion.  She stared at Goliath and wondered how much of her attitude had to do with her jealousy.  He had a clan that adored him and listened to what he had to say.  He had Elisa.  He was a full gargoyle, and could easily glide with Elisa in his arms.  He didn't have to defend his right to exist, Trini thought bitterly, but then stopped and sat down heavily.  He did have to defend that.  The Quarrymen…

Elisa walked in and he seemed to stand taller and smiled at the detective.  Angela took the book he'd been holding and he strode over to pull Elisa into a hug.  Elisa smiled at him like she used to smile at Trini, and Trini found it hurt less to see that than it used to.  Still it did hurt, so she started to glance at the other monitors.

Delilah was looking tense as she worked on the computer.  Delilah was checking her email.  Trini glanced at the computer in the surveillance room and checked to see if it had Internet access.  It did, so she sent out a brief email to her friend, telling her that Trini was home and wanted to talk to her.  This talk should really be face to face.  Trini did tell Delilah that she was sorry for the scene with MacBeth in the conference room.  After she sent it she went back to watching the white haired gargoyle on the screen.  Delilah must have been really anxious to hear from Trini, because five minutes later she was checking her email again.  Trini noticed the way she seemed to brighten when she noticed she had a message.

Trini double checked the hallway and noticed the way was clear so she moved quickly to head for her rooms, hoping that now that Delilah had heard from her she would come.  Part of her was so nervous that Delilah wouldn't want to see her.  That she would sit in her rooms all alone waiting.

Fox was with David.  They said it was so that Trini could have some one on one time with Delilah, but Trini suspected that David would be hearing more intimate details of Trini's sex life before Fox threw him on a bed and took him.  She felt a little dirty about that.  Part of it had to do with the fact that she was still hurt that David had needed such strong reasons to let her live there.

Once she slipped into her rooms she poured herself something to drink.  Her mouth was dry.  She then sat down in the quiet room and sipped at her juice.  She'd left the door unlocked and the window open.  However Delilah decided to come in, she would be able to.  Delilah would have to sneak in to see Trini, and that was another fact that bothered Trini.  How closely was the clan guarding Delilah because of what Trini had done?

"Trini."  Delilah's voice was deeper, a little wary.  Trini took a deep breath and turned towards the window that Delilah was climbing in.  "Where have you been?"

Trini opened her mouth to tell the half truth that they'd decided the clan would get, but then just closed it again.  When she opened it again she started with what the clan wasn't supposed to know.  "I was kidnapped by MacBeth.  He was using me to try and lure Demona to him so he could kill her."  Trini sighed and motioned for Delilah to sit on the couch.  She didn't like the distance or the caution her friend was showing.  "I also went into season.  We're just telling the clan about my going into season."

"So you are continuing to lie?"  Delilah's tone held a touch of bitterness.  Trini grimaced as she realized Delilah had every right to be bitter.

"To the others, but I'm through lying to you."  Trini's eyes pleaded, even though she was trying to keep her voice from doing that.  "There is so much I haven't told you.  I'm sorry."  The mask of indifference cracked and Delilah looked a little hurt.  Trini's voice was shaky, "I love you.  I never wanted to lie to you.  I just didn't know what to do."

"I heard that friends are supposed to tell each other things."  Delilah sounded a little tearful.  Trini took a chance and scooted closer to her on the couch.  "But you didn’t."  Delilah's eyes burned as she stared into Trini's.  "I wouldn't have betrayed you.  You could have told me everything and I wouldn't have done that to you."

Trini hesitantly reached out to pull Delilah closer to her.  She was allowed to hug the gargoyle, so she held on tightly.  "I'm so sorry."  She felt Delilah's sobs start and she felt like she'd rather take several bullets than listen to these tears.  Her own tears traveled down her cheeks silently as she tried to be the strong one.  She rocked Delilah gently and pet her hair while murmuring "I'm sorry" and "I love you."  Along with the occasional, "I'll tell you everything."  She hadn't gotten permission from her lovers to talk, but she wasn't going to hurt Delilah like this again.  She prayed silently that after Delilah heard it all she'd still want to be Trini's friend.

It took a while for Delilah's tears to stop, and Trini stopped murmuring to just hold Delilah.  "Why did you lie to me?"  Delilah's voice was a bit raspy from all her tears.

Trini let Delilah pull away from her embrace when she tried, and sat back to stare into the sad betrayed look on Delilah's face.  "I told myself that it was because it would put you in a bad position with the clan."  Trini clenched her jaw and remained quiet until she could push the urge to cry away.  The tension in the living room was so thick it was overpowering.  "but I… I was afraid."  Her voice shook, so she clenched her jaw tightly again for a moment.  "I just couldn’t risk… it would have hurt so much if you hated me, or if you betrayed me."  Trini took a deep breath and spoke a little more calmly,  "I've got serious trust issues."  Her voice got quieter and more vulnerable.  "I want to trust you.  I know that I can, but it's still so hard."

Delilah's jaw clenched and she glared at Trini.  It looked like she was about to lash out, but the sound of the front door opening stopped her.  Trini turned to find Goliath and Brooklyn glaring at them both.

"Well, look who came back."  Brooklyn's eyes were burning brightly.  "And you're already working on Delilah.  That didn't take long."

"Delilah."  Goliath's voice seemed to boom in the small living room.  "We are having a clan meeting.  Go to the conference room…"  When Delilah didn't get up right away, his voice rose, "Now!"

Goliath continued to glare at Trini while Delilah reluctantly left.  "Brooklyn,"  Goliath didn't take his eyes off Trini to address his second.  "Go tell the clan about the meeting.  I'll be there in a moment."

"But…"  Brooklyn protested.

"Go."  Goliath didn't need to say anything else.  Trini could see Brooklyn was reluctant to leave the room, but he did it without further comments.

His voice was cold.  "I'm surprised you came back."  His wings draped around him as he crossed his arms in front of him.  "Surely now that your cover is blown there is no need to remain here."

Trini started to open her mouth to protest that, but he didn't give her the time.  "Come, we have a meeting to go to."  He then reached over and grasped her upper arm.

Trini wanted to pull away, but there was no point in that.  This confrontation was a long time coming.  She allowed Goliath to lead her out of the room and down towards where the other gargoyles would be gathering.  She noticed that in spite of his obvious anger, he wasn't causing her pain.  She found herself more troubled by that fact than she would have been if he'd made her bleed.
